Recipe and direction
The bottom row of the crafting table is 3 regular stone, the middle row is redstone torch, dust, torch. Place the repeater on a solid block with the output facing the lamp. The top pattern and the stationary front flare help distinguish the direction. Reference: Minecraft Education: logic circuits.
Assemble the lever → 5 dust → repeater → 5 dust → lamp. Turn on the lever; If the line before the device lights up, but after it does not, check the turn and whether the signal is sent to the side.
Length and four delays
After the source 15, series-connected dusts transmit a signal from strength 15 to 1. repeater after the last still active dust restores the output to 15; installation behind an already extinguished gap does not revive the line.
The use button toggles the 1, 2, 3 or 4 redstone tick delay. During normal gameplay, this is 0,1 / 0,2 / 0,3 / 0,4 seconds. Four repeaters at maximum give a total of 1,6 seconds, but with lag the real time will stretch out.

Side lock
Route the output of the other powered repeater or comparator to the side of the main one. He will retain the state he had at the time of blocking. Ordinary side dust does not replace such a blocking entrance.
To test, turn on the main lever, lock the side and turn off the rear lever: the output should remain high until the lock is removed. Therefore this function is useful as a hold, but is not a safe farm switch in itself.
