Take what you can grow at home
In the jungle, pick up seedlings, cocoa beans and several logs of a tropical tree: cocoa grows on the side of such a log, and not on any wood. For a large tree you will need a square 2×2 of seedlings. Reference: Minecraft Reference: biomes.
In a dark forest, bring at least 4 dark oak seedlings: one alone will not grow. Bring propagules from the mangrove swamp; from the cherry grove - seedlings. Do not fill all the cells with logs, leaving the house without planting material.
Mark your route with coordinates
Write down the house in the format "Top world, X, Y, Z". On the surface, north decreases Z, east increases X. The map helps you see the coast, but does not store all the measurements and elevations.
The boat is comfortable along rivers and oceans; for mountains, prepare a staircase. In snowy areas, leather boots allow you to stand on loose snow. Place an intermediate bed only if you agree to move the spawn point.
Recording coordinates and road signs are described in the manual: Maps and signposts: make your world easier to navigate.
Checking the result at home
Plant the first harvest before the next expedition. Place cocoa on a brought log, dark oak - in a square of four seedlings, give the trees space on top. This is a test of reproduction, not a request to stock up on any material at random.
Searching for a rare biome using someone else's seed is pointless without matching the edition, version and settings. If command is valid, use locate in the copy of world; In the main walkthrough, save the coordinates of the discovered area.
If world allows searching for command, use your edition's syntax: Locate a structure or biome and plan your route.
