Three different places
World spawn is the starting point of world. Personal point - established by a bed or a suitable anchor. Server /spawn or /home - plugin command with its own rules. These places may be far from each other; a regular vanilla game is not required to have /home.
Write down the coordinates of the base separately from the personal point. This way you will find a house, even if the bed is broken or there is another point left after a hike.
Save X/Y/Z and measurement to far output. Base coordinates.
Set up the bed and check the space
Recipe: 3 wool of the same color over 3 boards on the crafting table. Place the bed on an accessible area in the normal world, use it and check the message about the established point. Keep a space nearby for the appearance: a cramped decorative box can make the point unusable.
If you move the bed, interact with it again. The dot does not travel with the item in the inventory. If you use a travel bed and then take it away, don't count on automatically returning to your original bedroom.
The bed and the anchor belong to different dimensions
Trying to use a bed to sleep in the Nether or the End is dangerous: it will explode. In Nether, an anchor is provided for revival. Charge it with glowstone, then use it by switching your hand from fuel to another item; check the point message. Maximum - four charges, revival consumes a charge.
The Anchor is not a universal bed for all dimensions: use outside the Nether may cause an explosion. For the first experiment, use a separate test site. Before an expedition, check both the charge and the safe spawn location.
On the server, try the return separately
Read the available commands at home in /help or the project menu. If named homes are allowed, create a test home in a safe location and call it after a short retreat. Limits, delays and access in battle are determined by the server, not the bed recipe.
Before a dangerous hike, leave a supply of food and simple tools at the base. Check for death with a cheap set on a copy or according to the server rules: the spawn point, saving things and possible separate world inventories are important.
The inventory rule does not set the spawn point. Preserving things after death.
